Conor O’Brien is an ICT Professional with over 40 years’ experience. His career started in hardware manufacturing where he gained insights into all aspects of real-time and concurrent solutions. He has played a strategic role in planning, identifying, developing, and procuring solutions for businesses in manufacturing, financial services, building and infrastructure projects. His project experience ranges from thousands to eighty plus million euro in size with multinational operations. Most have involved significant organisation and business ecosystem change.
Conor develops software and works on electronic projects in the Internet of Things space. Conor, as a former senior research fellow at Maynooth University, has researched and published in in the management of IT. Conor is a graduate of UL and obtained an MBA in technology management from the OU. He is a certified Project Management Professional and a Certified Information Systems Security Professional. Conor is a member of the IEEE, PMI, (ISC)2, and DAMA.
Conor is an advocate for the ICT Profession and a keen promoter of professional standards.
