Progressive College’s QQI Level 5 & 6 SNA courses are a qualification that will allow you to work as a special needs assistant. For example, this can be in hospitals, care homes, and primary and secondary schools.

Our courses offer one-on-one tutor support. We promise our students accessible and affordable courses. Furthermore, you can choose between classroom-based courses or online for greater flexibility.

With the introduction of special needs assistants in schools, the children are now able to meet their full potential. This is due to the additional support the special needs assistant can provide to students within their care. As a result, we believe that only proper education results in the most positive learning experiences. This can be done by developing the SNA’s confidence and independence.

Budget 2021 has allocated €2 billion to special needs education. This has resulted in the creation of 990 additional SNA posts, bringing the whole time equivalent (WTE) number of SNA posts to 18,000 for the 2021/22 school term. Read more about the news here.

SNAs play an important role in assisting the teacher. They support students with special educational needs who have significant care needs. Moreover, they are allocated to the school and work under the direction of the principal/teachers.

The QQI Level 5 & 6 SNA qualification courses provide you with a chance to learn from experts in special needs education. Additionally, our tutors provide the course unparalleled insights with the depth of their experience and passion for teaching. Progressive College’s special needs course allows students to understand how to support children with learning, physical, or behavioural needs.

Our SNA courses have developed over time to fit changing needs. So, we ensure our graduates have the most comprehensive skills. Our goal is to provide positive learning experiences for any child with special needs. With the introduction of the SNA in schools, children can now fully meet their potential. This is thanks to the additional support the SNA provides to children within their care.
