Working Effectively with the Multi-Disciplinary Team
A CPD course for the SNA Graduate, Teachers, and Social Care workers etc on working with students who present with Challenging Behaviour. The course consists of a recorded lecture with a multiple-choice questionnaire to be completed at the end. The topics covered are.
- What is Epilepsy.
- Classification of Seizures.
- Overview of the different types of seizures.
- The role of the SNA in supporting a child/Young Person with Epilepsy in the classroom.
CPD courses are a wonderful way to enhance, refresh and update your training and skills.
Each CPD course consists of a pre-recorded lecture which you can watch in your own time, PowerPoint slides to accompany each lecture and a brief assessment to consolidate what you have learnt during the lecture.
At the end of the course, each candidate is presented with a brief assessment to evaluate your knowledge following which you will be awarded a Certificate of Achievement (Digital Certificate).

CPD Courses are great for students who may already be working in the SNA, Early Years & Primary School areas to refresh and enhance your current skills.
No prior skills, knowledge or competence in the award subject matter will be required of the learner for successful entry to the programme; but learners will be expected to have a minimum of Ordinary Level Leaving Certificate standard of education or equivalent and/or experience.
Proficiency in English language is required, together with a strong interest in (subject). Learners whose first language is not English will be required to provide proof of proficiency in the English language through satisfactory performance on an internationally recognised test (e.g. IELTS 5.5) or other similar English Language qualifications.
Progressive College are committed to providing equal access to education and equal opportunities for mature students (23 years +). Mature applicants do not need to match school-leavers in terms of academic achievement, provided there is evidence of the ability to pursue and benefit from the course, but candidates must be 23 years of age or over on the 1st January of the year of entry to their programme of study. Mature students must also have proficiency in the English language.
