About Our Courses

We deliver our courses either through Part-time or Blended (Distance) Learning.


Our Part-time  Courses

Part -time major award are typically evening or Saturday courses and are 12-18 months duration. Students attend class two evenings per week from 7pm – 9.30pm and a number of Saturdays, depending on the programme. Assessments take place on the Saturdays Seminars. Course materials for some programmes are accessed through Moodle, an online learning portal.

The College holds courses in many major towns and locations within the Republic of Ireland.
Venues for the courses vary from year to year. Each venue has a dedicated venue co-ordinator who ensures
the classroom environment  is conducive to learning and that all our venues are easily accessible.


Our Online Learning Courses

The online learning programmes are delivered over a two year period for Childcare & Montessori and 6-10 months for SNA. Childcare & Montessori Students access their course materials through Moodle, an online learning portal. Tutors are available to answer queries for two hours, one evening per week by telephone and at anytime via email. Students attend a number of Saturday Seminars.

The College of Progressive Education programmes are validated by QQI under the new Common Award system
